The Senate of the Republic of the Philippines has already forwarded to the House of Representatives for their concurrence Senate Bill No. 2408, or the Educators in Basic Education Compensation Act, last July 31, 2008. Until now, there has been NO action from the Lower House regarding this bill.

To recall, the bill proposes a Php 9,000 additional compensation, to be given over a three-year period in three tranches, to public school teachers, locally-funded teachers, non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education and Philippine Science High School teaching and non-teaching personnel. It likewise seeks a Php 1,000 medical check-up annual allowance for covered beneficiaries and a Magna Carta bonus to public school teachers and non-teaching personnel of the DepEd.

Being the Representatives of the Filipino People, we should urge the Lower House to pass a counterpart bill to Senate Bill No. 2408, and upgrade the salary of public school teachers.

Invest In Real Estate

Owning a house is on every Filipino family’s wish list. Here’s the step-by-step on how to buy your first one;

1.  MAKE A LIST OF NEEDS AND WANTS.

Evelyn Solis, vice president for marketing ans sales of One Asia development Corporation, says the list should include the parameters of your decision; location, accessibility and aesthetics.” Don’t rush for the sake of buying”, she advices.”Rushing might later yield a bad result” Solis says family members must rank their needs and wants before finalize their plan to buy a house. Dad and Mom, for instance, must consider the location of their workplace and their kids schools vis-a-vis the prospective house.

Many real estate developers stress proximity of their projects to such important places such as hospitals, churches, schools, malls, markets, cemented roads, and public transport systems. “These are important considerations for the buyer. In these times of burgeoning population in metropolis, grueling traffic is a major factor, “Solis says.

Of course, it’s important to ask what type of housing you are looking for, Does the family wants to buy a house and lot or a condominium unit?

For instance, a newly married couple might buy a condominium unit because they’re living a fast-paced life. But this could change later when they become parents and want bigger space for their kids or for after-office activities such as walking in the park or tending a garden in their backyard,’ says Solis.

TIP: Think long-term. The real estate expert says decision-makers in the family must be prepared because, unless you’re buying to invest, a house is a long term project that’s by no means an easy undertaking. Consider changes in incomes and ages. Consider too your collective commitment. Is the family willing to sacrifice of monitoring and supervising the construction of the house?

2. CONSIDER YOUR BUDGET.

Read how President Obama speaks with new responsibility and authority.

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we the people have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.

Do You Want to Succeed?

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve” – Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich.

A very powerful words yet so may people fails to understand the real meaning.

Do you know that you can have anything  whatever you like?

Do you ever dream or wish? Do you dream to have a successful life? Do you wish to earn  million? I do.

If you want to succeed, read long.

Have the Right VISION.

Know what you want and the universe will give it.  Everything comes from a vision. If you don’t have it, you lost.

There’s a lot of great individuals who have benefited from the power of positive thinking and having a vision.  Take the Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur, for example.  They were two Americans who are generally credited with inventing and building the world’s first successful airplane.  Wilbur have a vision that flight is possible to man. Both brothers attended high school, but did not receive diplomas. And yet, because of their vision on the 17th of December 1903  they were officially credited worldwide as “the first sustained and controlled heavier-than-air powered flight”.

Developing a vision is a skills that you need to master.  You need to develop the ability to create thought images.

ACT.

Do what needs to be done.

So how can you use your mind to achieve your dreams? One of the most effective ways is to use the “as if” principle. Feel and believe as if the object of your desire is on its way.  Act as if you are already in possession of whatever you want to have.

Despite your wonderful vision often you do not find success. So what is lacking to achieve your vision? Be ProACTive!   Becoming a proactive person is not just simply taking action. It much deeper than that. You not only take action but you also take responsibility for what ever action you are taking!

Don’t get lose in your fantasy dream world that you’ve forgotten to take some action. Let your visions encourage and motivate you to achieve your purpose.

You can become what you dream, if you persist and are dedicated to your vision. You are bound to find more success in your personal and professional lives if you combine your vision with a belief that you can achieve it and action action with positive thinking.

Remember, there is absolutely no limit with what the mind can achieve.  Try it out. Our mind can work in mysterious ways, but we were given the power to make it work in our favor if we act on it.
