One of the first considerations in putting up a business in the Philippines, which I think is also true anywhere in the world, is registering your business name. Applying for the business name is easy , that is, if you’re only the one applying. The problem comes during the long queue where you have to wait for hours in order for you to be served by the staff of DTI (Department of Trade and Industry).
The good news is, the DTI is now using the internet technology to fasten the business name registration process. You may now register your name online, and all you have to do on DTI’s office is to pay the fee and get your printed business name certificate. Gone are the long lines – Iwas Pila!
Here’s the 13 Steps on how Register your Business Name the fast and easy way:
- Go to www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph
- Click Create Account
- At the “Create Account” page, fill in the required information and click the “Save” button after.
- Your “Log-in Account and default Password” will be emailed to you at the e-mail address indicated in your account.
- Once you have your “Log-in Account and default Password”, encode this in the “Log-in” and Password” spaces, then click the sign-in button.
- Click “Online Services” at the lower right end of the page.
