Here’s how to Send a Remittance through a Wells Fargo branch in the U.S.:
Step 1 - Inquire from a Wells Fargo banker about the remittance options available. Select which best fits your beneficiary’s needs.
Step 2 - Provide the required information:
For all remittance options – give the beneficiary’s name and full address–
- if money is being sent for credit-to-account (CTA) of the beneficiary, the name mut be exactly the same as it appears on the BPI account records.
- if money is sent for pick-up at any BPI or BPI Family Savings Bank branch, name must be exactly as it appears on the I.D.’s of the beneficiary.
Step 3 - Wells Fargo will create the remittance, details to ensure money is sent quickly and safely.
- if via CTA, Wells Fargo will complete a one-time verification of the remittance details. After the first remittance is sent via CTA, subsequent remittances will be sent as soon as the same day.
- if via Pick-up, money will be sent on the same day. However, remitter has to provide the beneficiary the 16-digit reference number issued by Wells Fargo, which the beneficiary will present when claiming the remittance (at any BPI or BPI Family Savings Bank branch).
Step 4 - Beneficiary will receive the remittance:
- if via CTA, beneficiary can acquire from BPI’s 24/7 Banking to check if the fund is already available. Once available, the fund can be withdrawn anytime from BPI’s 1, 400+ ATMs nationwide.
- if via Pick-up, the beneficiary will claim the remittance from any BPI or BPI Family Savings Branch during the banking hours. The 16-digit Wells Fargo reference number shall be presented to the branch when claiming the remittance.
